The ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 is scheduled to start on December 11 and run till December 17 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Organised by ESL Gaming, the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 is an offline Malaysian eSports tournament.
World’s top 12 Dota 2 teams will compete in the upcoming Tier 1 event to be hosted at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.
ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 format
The ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 will be staged in two phases - Group Stage and Playoffs.
Two teams each from Western Europe and Eastern Europe qualifiers, and one team each from MENA, China, Southeast Asia, North America and South America have qualified for the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 eSports tournament. The other three teams have been invited.
The group stage of the tournament will be held from December 11 to 13. The 12 participating teams have been divided into two groups of six teams each. The group matches will be played in a single round-robin format in best-of-two series.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of playoffs while the third and fourth-placed teams will advance to the lower bracket of playoffs.
The two bottom-placed teams from each group will be knocked out from the tournament.
The ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 playoffs will take place in a double-elimination bracket from December 15 to 17. All matches except the Grand Final will be in best-of-three series. The Grand Final will be played in a best-of-five series.

ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 prize pool
The ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 has a total prize pool of a whopping $1,000,000 USD.
The winner of the marquee Dota tournament will receive a cash prize of $300,000 USD and 4,800 EPT points. The runner-up will get $175,000 USD and 3,600 EPT points.
