Live streaming, Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 begins on November 30: Where to watch - get teams and format

The CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will start on November 30 and run till December 15 in Shanghai, China.

Organised by Perfect World, a Valve partner that publishes the Chinese versions of Counter-Strike and Dota 2, the CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will see the top 24 teams from around the world compete in the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of the year.

Natus Vincere are the defending Major champions after securing a 2-1 victory over FaZe Clan at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in March.

The Opening and Elimination stages of the CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be staged at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center while the Playoffs stage will be held at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center.

CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 schedule and format

The CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be staged in three phases - Opening Stage, Elimination Stage and the Playoffs.

The Opening Stage of the CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will see as many as 16 teams compete in a Swiss System format from November 30 to December 3.

The Elimination and Advancement matches will be in a best-of-three series while other matches will be in a best-of-one format.

The top eight teams will advance to the Elimination Stage while the bottom eight teams will be eliminated.

The CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Elimination Stage will also be held in a 16-team Swiss System format.

Similar to the Opening Stage, the Elimination and Advancement matches will be played in a best-of-three series while other matches will be in a best-of-one format. 

The top eight teams will then advance to the Playoff Stage while the remaining eight teams will be eliminated.

The CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Playoff Stage will be staged in a single-elimination bracket. All playoff matches will be in a best-of-three series.

CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 prize pool

The CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 has a total prize pool of 1.25 million USD. 

The winner of the CS2 tournament will receive a cash prize of 500,000 USD while the runner-up will get 170,000 USD. The third and fourth-placed teams will bag 80,000 USD each.
