BGMI developer Krafton rolls out a major update every two months. Each BGMI update is based on a certain theme. Additionally, notable changes are made to classic mode and new features are introduced.
The latest 3.0 update in BGMI was released with the engaging Shadow Force Theme Mode on January 25. The BGMI 3.0 introduced fresh gameplay elements.
This theme mode included the Samurai Sword, where players can strategically block bullets, offering a tactical edge.
Furthermore, the new update introduced new tools such as the clone summoning device and grappling hook, enhancing mobility and offering strategic choices in battles.
In BGMI 3.0, gamers can also immerse themselves in the Valentine's Day spirit on the battlefield with unique features like partnering up for a tandem bicycle ride and other enchanting Valentine's Day effects.
Additionally, players can participate in play and win challenges, embarking on thrilling missions to acquire lucrative rewards like the Urbane Captain Set and Desert Taskforce Set, as well as Classic and Supply Crate Coupons, and more.
Gamers have the opportunity to get the coveted Shinobi Kami M416 skin by taking part in the Shadow Altar spin feature.
The BGMI 3.0 update also includes a special appearance by Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

BGMI 3.1 update release date and theme
The BGMI 3.1 update is expected to be released in the last week of March or first week of April. The upcoming BGMI 3.1 Update will be based on the Arabian Nights theme and a new mode based on that theme. Gamers can explore stunning Arabian-style buildings,which will add a unique visual and gameplay experience on the familiar map.

The BGMI 3.1 update will launch the new upgraded P90 weapon which will be available in the Air Drops. P90 will be a powerful submachine gun with a built-in holographic sight, perfect for close-quarters combat.
The BGMI 3.0 will also feature the all new A6 Royale Pass which will yet again have a female 100 RP outfit.
It will also include a Nimbus Island, a brand-new Point of Interest (POI) teeming with loot. Players need to show amazing gameplay to conquer this new challenge.
The upcoming update will also introduce flying ships. These aerial platforms will offer valuable loot and exciting landing spots for strategic battles.
Meanwhile, the BGMI 3.1 update is expected to launch the much-awaited Night Mode on Erangel. Players can then navigate through the darkness, adding a thrilling layer of challenge and tactical possibilities to BGMI matches.
It will also provide a new vehicle in the form of a flying carpet which can be used by two players at the same time.
The BGMI 3.0 update will also feature a new utility in the form of magical grenades. These playful grenades, if thrown towards the enemy, will create a dome like structure and any players in the circle will automatically start dancing.
