The third edition of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) will start in August after the conclusion of the BGMI Masters Series 2024 in New Delhi.
Since its inception in 2022, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series is India's highest level professional league for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).
Blind eSports won the previous edition of the popular Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series in 2023 while Team SouL clinched the inaugural BMPS title in 2022.
BMPS 2024 dates and format
The highly-anticipated BMPS 2024 will start on August 20 with the Grand Finals scheduled to be held offline in Kochi, Kerala from September 26-29.
While the format and schedule have not been announced yet, it is expected to follow a similar format to the last edition.
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2023 was staged in two phases - the league stage and the Grand Finals.
A total of 96 BGMI teams competed in the BMPS 2023. These 96 participating teams were divided into two groups - Group Blue and Group Red.
These 48 teams in Group Blue were further split into six groups of eight each. Similarly, the other 48 teams in Group Red were divided into six groups of eight each.
The league stage of the BMPS 2023 was held online in a round-robin format from November 22 to December 9.
Meanwhile, each team played a total of 15 matches in the league stage. Every participant was rewarded bonus points based on their rank on the weekly scoreboard. Additionally, groups were also reshuffled every week.
The top 16 teams at the end of the league stage from the overall points table (Week 1 + 2 + 3) advanced to the Grand Finals.
BMPS 2024 teams
Some of the top BGMI teams from across the country will compete in BMPS.
TeamXSpark, Mogo Esports and Vasista are some of the teams that have revealed that they have received invitations for BMPS 2024.
India’s top-tier teams including Team Soul, GodLike Esports, Global Esports and Gods Reign are expected to participate in the upcoming BGMI tournament.
Some of the top performing teams in the recently-concluded BGMI Masters Series Season including the likes of Entity, Team Tamilas, Team 8bit, Raven Esports and Team Limra will also compete in the BMPS 2024.
BMPS 2024 prize pool
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2024 will offer a total prize pool of a whopping INR 2 crore.
Krafton has increased the total prize pool from INR 1 crore offered in the previous season.
The winner of BMPS 2023 earlier received a cash prize of INR 40 lakh while the runner-up bagged INR 20 lakh.
Where to watch BMPS 2024 live in India
Live streaming of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2024 will be available on Krafton India Esports’ YouTube channel in Hindi and English languages. It will also be available on streaming platform Loco.
