Live streaming, Apex Legends Esports World Cup begins on August 1: Where to watch - get schedule, and format

The Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 will start on August 1 and run till August 4 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

Organised by Esports World Cup Foundation and ESL FACEIT Group, the Apex Legends Esports World Cup was announced as part of the marquee event on April 12, 2024.

As many as 40 Apex Legends teams from five major regions (LATAM, APAC South, North America, APAC North and EMEA) have qualified for the ongoing Esports World Cup 2024.

Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 schedule and format

The Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 will be staged in three phases - Group Stage, Last Chance and the Finals. 

In the Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 Group Stage, these participating teams have been divided into two groups of 20 teams each and will compete in a series of 10 games to be held on August 1 and 2.

The top nine teams of each group will advance to the Finals while teams placed 10th to 19th in each group will move to the Last Chance to be staged on August 3.

On the other hand, the 20th placed teams will be eliminated from the competition.

In the Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 Last Chance, as many as 20 teams will compete in a series of 10 games. The top two teams will advance to the Finals.

Teams placed third to 20th will be knocked out from the Esports World Cup. 

The Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 Finals will be held on August 4 where the remaining 20 teams will compete in the Match Point Format. 

As per the rules, the first team to hit 60 points and claim a first place finish in the upcoming matches will be crowned the winner. The remaining teams will be ranked by total points awarded in the series.

The 18 teams that advanced from the Group Stage will start the Finals with Advance Starting Points based on their placements in the Winners Bracket.

Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 prize pool

The Apex Legends Esports World Cup 2024 has a total prize pool of a whopping $2 million.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of $600,000 while the runner-up will get $375,000.

The third and fourth-placed teams will bag $200,000 and $135,000, respectively.
