Popular T1 bot laner Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyung is back on the T1 roster after getting replaced by Sin ‘Smash’ Geum-jae. The change was made immediately after the T1 CEO Joe Marsh overruled the coaching staff’s decision to favour Smash over Gumayusi.

In a public statement on X (formerly Twitter), Marsh revealed that the choice to replace Gumayusi was due to Smash’s recent show of good performance. General manager Jeong ‘Becker” Hoi-yoon and head coach Kim ‘kkOma’ Jeong-gyun approved the choice to give Smash a chance.

With Gumayusi returning to the roster, the backlash has cooled down, and the hype for the upcoming 2025 LCK Season has begun.

The team is not planning to let go of Gumayusi or Smash anytime soon, as both players have shown promise.

Marsh’s recent statement confirmed, ‘The decision was made that he (Smash) will remain on our LCK roster for the season. We are confident in his growth and believe he has the potential to develop into an exceptional player.’

With both players still on the roster, T1 might be planning to enter the 2025 LCK Season with a six-man team.
