The PUBG Global Championship 2024 will start on December 9 and run till December 22 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Organised by the PUBG Corporation, the PUBG Global Championship 2024 is the final event and the World Championship of the 2024 Competitive Season.
The PUBG Global Championship 2024 will see top 24 teams compete for the PGC title to be held at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur.
ShuaiGeDui, Twisted Minds, Soniqs, Cerberus Esports, 17 Gaming, TSM, Natus Vincere, Petrichor Road, FaZe Clan, Tianba, NewHappy, Weibo Gaming, Four Angry Men, Freecs, T1, Gen.G, The Expendables, Daytrade Gaming, From the Future, Eternal Fire, BetBoom Team, Virtus.pro, Team Falcons and Luna Galaxy are the teams that will compete in the PGC 2024.
The PUBG Global Championship 2024 will be staged based on the Circuit System. The tournament will witness three Circuits where all the participating teams will be divided according to a specific criteria.
The PGC 2024 Circuit 1 will start on December 9 and conclude on December 11. During the competition, teams will be split based on the PUBG Global Series Point Ranking.
The top four teams in PGS ranking will start on Day 3 of the Circuit 1. Teams ranked fifth to eighth in PGS ranking will start on Day 2 while the remaining teams will compete on Day 2.
A total of 18 matches will be played in Circuit 1, six matches per day. The bottom four teams from Day 1 and Day 2 will be eliminated from Circuit 1 while the rest will advance to Grand Finals.
The PGC 2024 Circuit 2 will commence on December 12 and run till December 14 while PGC 2024 Circuit 3 will be held from December 16-18.
During Circuit 2 and 3, all 16 teams will be divided based on the results of the previous Circuit.
Just like Circuit 1, the top four squads will start on Day 3, teams ranked fifth to eighth will compete on Day 2 while the remaining teams will feature on Day 1.
Six matches will be played every day and the bottom four teams from Day 1 and Day 2 will be eliminated from the ongoing Circuit.
Only points scored on Day 3 of each Circuit will count towards the Circuit Standings. The top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Finals while bottom eight teams will be eliminated.
The PUBG Global Championship 2024 Grand Finals will start on December 20 and run till December 22. The PGC 2024 Grand Finals will be played under SUPER point format instead of Smash Rule.
The three-day grand finals will see a total of 18 matches, six matches on each day. The top-ranked team at the end of the third day will be declared as the 2024 Season World Champion.
The PUBG Global Championship 2024’s initial prize pool is 1.5 million USD. Additionally, 25% of PGC 2024 items revenue will go directly into the prize pool. The final prize pool distribution will be announced at a later date.
Furthermore, the MVP of the tournament will bag $10,000.
Live streaming of the PUBG Global Championship 2024 will be available on PUBG Esports’ YouTube and Twitch channels in different languages.
