PEL 2025 Spring: Participants, format, and date announcement

Tournament details for the upcoming Peacekeeper Elite League 2025 Spring are out. The Peacekeeper Elite tournament begins on February 20 and is expected to include 20 clubs and 3 temporary teams. 

The league events are divided into four: Pre-Season, Regular Season, Playoffs, and the Grand Finals. The Regular Season’s top teams will be eligible to compete in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2025 in Uzbekistan. 

Peacekeeper Elite is the Chinese rebrand of the popular esports video game, PUBG Mobile. Fans and gamers of PUBG can enjoy watching the tournament’s live broadcast on PEL's official YouTube channel. 

PEL 2025 Spring Format

Pre-Season (February 20 to 23)

PEL 2024’s top 8th to 20th teams are eligible to compete in the Pre-Season Breakout Stage (Day 1 and 2). The other three temporary teams will play there as well. The top nine teams from this will play in the Pre-Season Finals. The bottom teams will play in the Regular Season Week 1 Breakout Stage. 

The top nine teams of Pre-Season’s Breakout and PEL 2024’s top seven teams will compete in the next stage. The Pre-Season’s top 7 teams will now advance to the next stage (Regular Season Week 1) finals. The bottom teams will move to Week 1 Breakout. 

Regular Season (February 27 to April 27)

The regular season spans 7 weeks. It will be divided into two events: Breakout and Weekly Finals. 

  • Breakout

Starts at each week’s Day 1. The bottom seven teams from the Pre-Season Breakout and the bottom nine teams from the Pre-Season Finals will compete here. The top nine teams here will automatically move to the Weekly Finals, and the bottom seven teams will move to the next week’s Breakout. 

  • Weekly Finals 

The remaining days 2 to 4 will be the Weekly Finals. The previous week’s top seven teams from the finals and the top 9 teams from the Breakout will fight against each other in 18 total matches. 

Playoffs (May 1 to 4)

The bottom 16 from the Playoffs will compete in 24 matches against each other. The top nine teams to dominate will each get a spot for the Grand Finals, and the other teams that did not make the cut will be eliminated. 

Grand Finals (May 16 to 18)

Regular Season’s top seven teams and Playoffs’ top nine teams will compete in 18 games. The last surviving team will get the trophy.
