Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is one of the most popular battle royale games in the world.
Developed and published by South Korean video game company Krafton, BGMI is an online multiplayer battle royale game that was first released for Android devices on July 2, 2021. It was later launched for iOS users on August 18, 2021.
While BGMI has over 100 million downloads on Google Play store, it was banned by the Indian government in July 2022 citing security concerns. The ban was later removed in May 2023.
As many as 100 gamers can compete in the Indian version of PUBG Mobile. The one who survives in the TPP-FPP survival shooter game is the winner. Individuals or a team of up to four gamers can play a match in BGMI.
Each BGMI game begins with gamers parachuting from a plane onto one of the following seven maps:

- Miramar

- Livik (Themed / Normal)

- Nusa

Jonathan Gaming, who is often considered the GOAT of BGMI, has close to six million subscribers on YouTube and over three million followers on Instagram. Known for his head-tracing capabilities and laser-like aim, the youngster currently plays for GodLike Esports as an assaulter and Flanker. Having began his career with Team Entity, Jonathan has represented India in multiple BGMI tournaments and has also bagged a few MVP awards.
Goblin
Harsh Paudwal, better known as Goblin, is considered to be one of the best BGMI players in the world. Born in Maharashtra, Goblin is regarded as one of best entry fraggers in the world. The popular BGMI star came into the spotlight with Team Insane in 2021 before he joined Team Soul in March 2022. He had a successful stint with Team Soul winning several BGMI tournaments and also claimed a few MVP awards on the personal front. Shubham Ranjan Sahoo, better known as Ninja JOD, is one of the rising BGMI talents in the world. After TSM Esports roped in Ninja JOD, the talented BGMI star has already proved his credentials by winning multiple BGMI tournaments as well as bagging numerous individual accolades as an MVP. He later joined Gods Reign and currently plays for TeamXSpark in the BGMI circuit.
Fierce
Ritesh Nawandar, popularly known as Fierce, is one of the unsung players in the BGMI community. Fierce gained prominence with Team XO after winning the LOCO Diwali Battle: Grand Finals in 2021. Having specialised in support roles, Fierce later helped Team XO finish third in Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021. He later won a few more BGMI tournaments with Team XO before he signed for Genesis Esports. Fierce has played for Revenant Esports since 2023.
Jokerr
Khush "Jokerr" Singh, one of the youngest rising stars, is among the top BGMI players in the world. Jokerr came into the spotlight after winning the BGMI Masters Series with Global Esports in July 2022. Following a successful debut in the BGMI circuit, Jokerr joined Blind eSports in 2023. He continued his impressive run by winning multiple BGMI tournaments including Skyesports Champions Series, Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown, Skyesports Championship 5.0 and Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2023.
