The Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series is one of India’s biggest eSports events.
The BGMI Masters Series was launched by NODWIN Gaming in collaboration with Star Sports in 2022.
As many as 24 teams competed in the inaugural edition of the BGMS hosted offline in Delhi NCR.
Blind eSports, Chemin Esports, Enigma Gaming, FS Esports, Global Esports, R ESPORTS, 7Sea Esports, GodLike Esports, Hyderabad Hydras, OREsports, Marcos Gaming, Orangutan, Hydra, Rivalry Esports, Revenant Esports, Nigma Galaxy, Skylightz Gaming, Team Enigma Forever, Team SouL, 8Bit, Team XO, TSM, TEAM iNSANE and TeamXspark participated in the BGMI Masters Series Season 1.
The BGMS Season 1 offered a total prize of a whopping INR 1.5 crore.
Global Esports later emerged as inaugural BGMI Masters Series champions after they pipped GodLike Esports and Orangutan.
The winner bagged a cash prize of INR 26.60 lakh while the runner-up received INR 15 lakh. The third-placed claimed a cash prize of INR 10.55 lakh.
After a successful first season, the second season of BGMS also featured 24 teams and offered a prize pool of INR 2.1 crore, which was one of the largest prize pools for a non-publisher competition.
BGMI Masters Series Season 2 witnessed a total of seven rounds, culminating with the grand finals after a little over three weeks of fierce competition.
Gladiators Esports later won the second edition of the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series after they edged Orangutan and Velocity Gaming to clinch the coveted BGMS title.
With their maiden BGMS title, Gladiators Esports received a cash prize of INR 1 crore. On the other hand, Orangutan bagged INR 35 lakh while third-placed Velocity Gaming collected a cash prize of INR 12.50 lakh. Get BGMS winners list.
