The Zimbabwe Women vs Ireland Women ODI series 2024 will start in Harare on Thursday, January 18.
As per the schedule, all the games of the three-match ODI series will be played at the Harare Sports Club. The second and third matches are scheduled to be held on January 21 and 23.
The Zimbabwe women’s cricket team will enter the series high on confidence after securing their place in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifier.
Under the leadership of Mary-Anne Musonda, Zimbabwe Women won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier 2023 after beating Uganda by six wickets in the final.
The world’s 13th ranked women’s ODI side, Zimbabwe, will aim to continue their brilliant form in the upcoming series against Ireland.
On the other hand, ranked 11th in the ICC women’s ODI team rankings, the Ireland women’s cricket team will head into the series after beating Scotland Women 2-1 in a three-match ODI series at the Desert Springs Cricket Ground in Spain.
Ireland and Scotland also featured in a two-match T20I series which ended 1-1 at the same venue.
Ahead of the series, Ireland have announced their 15-member squad to be led by captain Laura Delany.
Zimbabwe Women vs Ireland Women head-to-head in ODI cricket
Ireland Women have a superior head-to-head record against Zimbabwe Women in ODI cricket, winning three of the four matches that they have played so far. Zimbabwe Women have registered just a solitary victory.
The last time these two sides met in the 50-over format, Ireland Women beat Zimbabwe Women 3-1 in a four-match series in Harare in 2021

Live streaming of the Zimbabwe Women vs Ireland Women ODI series 2024 will be available on Zimbabwe Cricket Women’s Facebook channel.
There will be no live telecast of the ZIM-W vs IRE-W ODIs on any TV channel in India.
