The World Championship of Legends 2024 is scheduled to start at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham on July 3.

The first edition of the WCL, which has been approved and supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), will feature teams from six countries playing a total of 19 T20 matches with the final scheduled on July 13 in Birmingham.

England Champions will face India Champions in the opening match of the WCL 2024. Pakistan Champions, Australia Champions, South Africa Champions and West Indies Champions are the other teams in the WCL.

As the name of the tournament suggests, all the countries will be represented by former legends of the game along with some non-contracted players.

Yuvraj Singh will lead the India Champions in the tournament with Shahid Afridi (Pakistan), Chris Gayle (West Indies), Jacques Kallis (South Africa), Brett Lee (Australia) and Kevin Pietersen (England) being his counterparts.

All teams will play each other once in a single round-robin format with the top four teams advancing to the knockout stage. The group stage matches will be played at the Edgbaston Stadium and the Northamptonshire Stadium from July 3 to July 10.

Both the semi-finals of the WCL 2024 are slated for July 12 at Northamptonshire before the caravan moves back to Birmingham for the final on July 13.

The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is set to take place at the Edgbaston Stadium on July 6.
