The inaugural World Championship of Legends 2024 began at Birmingham's Edgbaston Stadium on July 3.

Organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), six teams are participating in this T20 tournament, featuring a total of 19 matches culminating in the final on July 13.

The opening match of the tournament saw England Champions lose to India Champions by three wickets.

The WCL 2024 also includes teams from Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies, each represented by former cricketing legends alongside some non-contracted players.

Leading their respective teams are Yuvraj Singh for India, Shahid Afridi for Pakistan, Chris Gayle for the West Indies, Jacques Kallis for South Africa, Brett Lee for Australia, and Kevin Pietersen for England.

Teams will compete in a single round-robin format from July 3 to 10 at the Edgbaston Stadium and Northamptonshire Stadium.

The top four teams will advance to the knockout stage, with the semi-finals scheduled for July 12 at Northamptonshire, followed by the grand final at Edgbaston Stadium on July 13.

Each team gets two points for a win, zero for a loss, and one in case of a no result. All teams will compete in a total of five matches in the league stage before two teams are eliminated while the remaining four qualify for the semi-finals.
