Live streaming, Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 begins on October 3: Where to watch in India - full schedule

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will start on October 3 and run till October 20 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 was moved out of Bangladesh due to ongoing political unrest and has now been relocated to the UAE for the same dates.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will see as many as 10 teams compete in a total of 23 matches over 18 days across two venues in the UAE.

These participating teams have been divided into two groups of five teams each in the ninth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup.

Group A features six-time champions Australia, along with India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland are clubbed in Group B.

As per the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 schedule, each team will play the other four sides in their group once. 

Bangladesh will face Scotland in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 opener at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium while Pakistan will take on Asia Cup winners Sri Lanka at the same venue later in the day.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led India will lock horns with New Zealand in their opening match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 4.

Defending champions Australia will begin their Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Sri Lanka Women in Sharjah on October 5.

The highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan, Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 clash will be played in Dubai on October 6.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finals. The table-topper from each group will play the second placed team from the opposite group. 

The first semi-final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be held in Dubai on October 17 while the second semi-final will be held in Sharjah on October 18. If India advances to the semi-finals, they will play in semi-final 1.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 final will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 20.

Scotland and Sri Lanka qualified for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 via the Qualifier that was staged in Abu Dhabi earlier this year.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will maintain its hosting rights while partnering with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to ensure the successful delivery of the event.

Australia are the defending champions of the Women’s T20 World Cup after they beat South Africa by 19 runs in the 2023 final in Cape Town to clinch their sixth title. They have won the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2023.

Apart from Australia, England won the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2009 while West Indies bagged the title in 2016.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network’s TV channels in India.
