Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 points table and standings

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 began on October 3 and will run till October 20 in the United Arab Emirates.

Organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 was moved out of Bangladesh due to ongoing political unrest and has now been relocated to the UAE for the same dates.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will see as many as 10 teams compete in a total of 23 matches over 18 days across two venues in the UAE.

Group A features six-time champions Australia, along with India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland are clubbed in Group B.

As per the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 schedule, each team will play the other four sides in their group once.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finals. The table-topper from each group will play the second-placed team from the opposite Group.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 final will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 20.

Australia are the defending champions of the Women’s T20 World Cup after they defeated South Africa by 19 runs in the 2023 final in Cape Town to clinch their sixth title. They have won the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2023.

Apart from Australia, England won the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2009 while West Indies bagged the title in 2016.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will maintain its hosting rights while partnering with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to ensure the successful delivery of the event.

Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 points table format

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will follow a single round-robin format during the group stage.

Each team will get two points for a win. If the match ends in a tie, the match will be decided in a Super Over. If two or more teams are tied on points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) will come into play with the side having a superior NRR getting positioned higher.
