The ‘toss’ is often considered as one of the most important factors in cricket. Given the conditions, a team can take an early advantage even before the first ball is bowled, if their skipper ends up calling the toss right and makes the right choice. But what does one do when the coin fails to give you a definite answer? Confused?
On Tuesday, the ACC U-19 Eastern Region final between Nepal and Hong Kong in Malaysia saw the toss being retaken after the coin landed into a crack on the pitch. Later, Nepal won the toss and elected to field at the Kinrara Oval.
🧐 How often do we see this?

The toss in the finals of the #U19ER had to be redone as the coin wouldn't budge either way! #NEPvHK pic.twitter.com/sEIK1DZE1f
The Nepal bowlers were on the money as they bowled out Hong Kong for a mere 95 and then handsomely chased down the target by the 17th over. S Dhakal (5-18) and S Airee (3-23) were the star performers with the ball, while P Sarraf (39) helped them over the line in no time.
Nepal will now play the U-19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka from August 28. The toss incident, however, saw the lighter side of social media.
