In what can be termed as one outrageous event, as many as 23 cricket balls were lost during the Cricket Trophy Final between Lancing Rovers CC and Monmouth Cricket Club on August 5.
Why they keep records on this I don’t know, but Gerrards Cross have just confirmed that a total of 23 cricket balls left the ground on Sunday and have yet to be relocated 😮.

And if you think that’s enough, as many as 743 runs were scored in a mere 84.4 overs during the game, with Rovers’ Ryan Maskell alone scoring a whooping 309. Batting first, Rovers scored 125 in 20 overs. The likes of Ryan and Clarky then went on to post a 404-run stand for the second wicket before the team finished off its innings at 470-5 in 50 overs.
