West Indies will look to continue their winning momentum as they host Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua starting on Sunday, March 21.
The hosts have had the upper hand on the Sri Lankan cricket team on the tour so far, winning the T20I series 2-1 and sweeping the three One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
The two-match Test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) where the West Indies cricket team is in sixth position and the Lankans are placed eighth in the table.
The top two spots for the WTC have already been decided, with India taking on New Zealand in the final on June 18 to be played in Southampton.
In their last Test series, a depleted West Indies side had defeated Bangladesh 2-0 away from home while Sri Lanka were comprehensively beaten by England 0-2 at home in January.
In the West Indies vs Sri Lanka head-to-head record in Tests, the Lankans hold the edge, winning nine of the 20 Test matches while West Indies have won four. Seven Tests ended in a draw.
Both the teams have played nine times in the Caribbean, with the hosts winning four games and Sri Lanka managing two wins. Three matches ended in a draw.
