The West Indies cricket team will host England in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series starting on Sunday, December 3.

After missing out on qualification for the ICC World Cup 2023 for the first time in their history, two-time champions West Indies will look to make a fresh start against England in the upcoming white-ball series.

West Indies have announced their 15-member ODI squad to be led by wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope. Pacer Alzarri Joseph has been named vice-captain of the Caribbean side.

Sherfane Rutherford and Matthew Forde are the two uncapped all-rounders added to the West Indies ODI squad.

Wicketkeeper-batter Shane Dowrich and opening batter Kjorn Ottley have also been recalled for the three-match ODI series.

Former captains Jason Holder and Nicholas Pooran were unavailable for selection after prioritising other formats.

On the other hand, the England cricket team will look to quickly bounce back after being knocked out in the league stage of the ICC World Cup 2023 in India.

Hard-hitting wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler has been retained as England’s ODI captain despite their dismal World Cup campaign.

Apart from Buttler, Liam Livingstone, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Gus Atkinson and Brydon Carse are the five other players from the World Cup squad who will feature in the ODI series.

Ollie Pope, John Turner and Josh Tongue are the three uncapped players included in the England ODI squad. Test openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett have also been added to the 15-member squad.
