The West Indies vs Bangladesh Test 2024 cricket series will start in Antigua and Barbuda on Friday, November 22.
The upcoming two-match Test series is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.
As per the West Indies vs Bangladesh Test 2024 schedule, the first match will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda.
The second and final Test is scheduled to be played at the Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica starting on November 30.
Ranked eighth in the ICC men’s Test team rankings, West Indies have played nine Tests in the current WTC cycle.
With one win, two draws and six defeats, West Indies are languishing at the bottom of the WTC 2023-25 standings with a points percentage of 18.52%. They are scheduled to play four more Tests in the ongoing WTC cycle.
Ahead of the two-match Test series, the West Indies cricket team has announced their 15-man squad to be led by Kraigg Brathwaite.
The hosts will be without their former and pace bowling all-rounder Jason Holder, who continues his rehabilitation of a shoulder injury.
Seam-bowling allrounder Justin Greaves and right-arm off-spinner Kevin Sinclair have been recalled to the Test squad.
On the other hand, the Bangladesh cricket team will look to bounce back after losing both their Tests against South Africa at home last month.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will once again lead Bangladesh in the upcoming two-match Tests series in the Caribbean.
The visitors will miss the services of their experienced Bangladesh batter Mushfiqur Rahim, who sustained a fracture on the tip of his left index finger while keeping wickets during the first ODI against Afghanistan in Sharjah.
The likes of Jaker Ali, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam have returned to Bangladesh’s Test squad.
Currently ninth in the ICC men’s Test team rankings, Bangladesh are placed eighth in the WTC 2023-25 standings with three wins and seven losses.

The West Indies vs Bangladesh Test head-to-head record favours the Caribbean outfit. West Indies have won 14 of the 20 Tests that they have played against each other so far. Bangladesh have registered just four victories. Two matches have ended in draws.
The last time these two sides met in the longest format, West Indies secured a 2-0 series win over Bangladesh in a two-match series in the Caribbean in June 2022.
