The penultimate day of the Virtual Five5 Cricket World Cup 2020 league stage had many close games out of the total of 18 games that were played out throughout the day, April 10. In the following, we highlight some of the key moments from various games that took place on Friday.

AFG v BAN, Match 57: AFG win Super Over by 4 runs

AFG and BAN set the tone for the day with a thrilling start to play out a Super Over which saw AFG emerge victorious. BAN batted first to post 38/1 and AFG despite losing three wickets got to the exact same score. AFG scored 8 runs in the Super Over and restricted BAN to a score of just 4 runs to win the game.

SL v ENG, Match 58: SL win by 16 runs

ENG continued to suffer upsets in the tournament, this time at the hands of SL. Opting to bat first, SL put up 42/2 on the board which never looked enough. ENG though got off to a horrendous start and could only end up scoring 26 runs having lost six wickets inside five overs. A game to forget for them.

NZ v SA, Match 62: NZ win by 4 runs

NZ and SA have often played a few close games and this one was similar. NZ put up a tall score of 54/2 riding on the good performance by their top order. SA, in reply, began well but Chris de Grandhomme defended 13 runs in the final over to take his side to victory.

WI v BAN, Match 66: BAN win by 10 wickets

BAN opted to chase and bowled really well to restrict the hard-hitting WI side to a score of just 41/3 in 5 overs. Opening the batting, Mushfiqur Rahem blasted a 10-ball 25 to see his side home by ten wickets.

IND v AFG, Match 68: IND win by 6 wickets

IND marched on their merry way with a six-wicket win over AFG despite getting a real scare. AFG posted a score of 35/2 and it looked like an easy chase. IND nearly chased it down before losing four wickets for just five runs. Pandey hit a boundary to see the side through.
