West Indies’ marksman, Chris Gayle is well and truly ensuring he keeps his fan on the edge of the seat be it with his antics with the bat or even the ball per se. With no spinning option available for captain Jason Holder during his side’s defeat against England, the 27-year-old deiced to bring on the most experienced man of all.
It was during the 21st over that Holder decided to call upon Gayle, and it was at this exact moment that the 39-year-old decided to amuse the crowd with a little fling. While other bowlers do their regular stretching before their over, the ‘Universal Boss’ decided to floss a bit.
And he warmed up for it with some #flossing 😜 pic.twitter.com/pwgrZk4z7M

Well, he failed to break the partnership on the day, but indeed ended his spell quite economically. The 39-year-old conceded just 22 runs from his five overs, as West Indies crumbled to an eight-wicket defeat.
Meanwhile, Gayle also reached an impressive feat with the bat as his knock of 36 runs off 41 deliveries has now made him the highest scorer against England in the ODIs. Starting with 1596, the 39-year-old’s knock took his total to 1632, surpassing Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, West Indies’ Viv Richards and Australia’s Ricky Ponting.
Twitter, on the other hand, was left into a frenzy and this is how people are reacting to Gayle’s antics.

Wants to open the batting
Wants to smash everything.
Wants to bowl with a cap and a shades on.
Doesn't wants to field. Entertainer 😂 #CWC19
Massive fan of Chris Gayle bowing 30mph dross in a cap and shades like it’s a net session. This is the true spirit of the ICC Cricket World Cup. #ICCCricketWorldCup2019

Chris Gayle must be the only cricketer who can pull off a pair of mirrored designer shades on a cricket pitch! What a fella! #ENGvWI #CWC2019

Chris Gayle , 39, bowling in mirror shades. Love it. Not sure the captain has got much of a plan though.
