In-form Tigers XI (TIG) take on a tough-looking Sharks XI (SHA) in the second semi-final of Pondicherry T20 2021 on Sunday, August 22, at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground.
TIG finished the group stages at the second place with eight wins and just two losses in a total of 10 matches. They have faced SHA twice in the tournament and have emerged victorious on both the occasions.
SHA are a well-rounded unit who finished the group stages with five wins and four losses and settled for third place. They would be looking to stop the TIG unit from having a hat-trick of wins over them.

Opening batsman Arjun Shetty is the batsman in form for TIG. He scored a 42-ball 80 against Lions XI and is a potential threat to the opposition in any condition. The fantasy team owners would be waiting for him to repeat his heroics once again.

SHA bowler Raghu Sharma has been consistently doing the job with the ball for his side, picking up wickets at regular intervals. With two three-wicket hauls already in the tournament, he presents himself as a perfect choice.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicketkeeper
TIG all-rounder Andrew Subikshan is a great choice for this category. Not only has he been playing match-changing cameos, he has also been inflicting damage with the ball. In the match against Tuskers XI, he smashed a 13-ball 26 at a strike rate of 200 and ended with a bowling fire of 2/29. Such performances make him a top pick.
Mathavan M is a fine selection for the wicket-keeping option. The TIG glovemen scored a patient 34 against SHA in the last match and did a fine job behind the stumps too. He would certainly make it to most of the fantasy teams.
