The South Africa vs Pakistan ODI 2024 series will start in Paarl on Tuesday, December 17.
As per the South Africa vs Pakistan ODI 2024 schedule, the first match of the three-match series will be played at the Boland Park in Paarl.
The two teams will later travel to Centurion for the second ODI scheduled to take place at the SuperSport Park on December 19.
The third and final ODI of the series will be played at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on December 22.
Pakistan are currently ranked third in the ICC men’s ODI team rankings while South Africa are placed one spot below on fourth.
The South Africa cricket team will head into the ODI series brimming with confidence after securing a 2-0 win over Pakistan in the recently-concluded T20I series.
Ahead of the three-match ODI series, South Africa have announced a star-studded 15-man squad to be led by Temba Bavuma.
The likes of David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj are part of the nine additions to the squad that played the format.
Young left-arm pacer Kwena Maphaka is the only uncapped player included in the ODI squad.
Meanwhile, the hosts will miss the services of several of their pace stars including Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Nandre Burger and Wiaan Mulder due to injuries.
On the other hand, the Pakistan cricket team will look to bounce back after their disappointing performance in the T20I series.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan will once again lead Pakistan in the upcoming ODI series.
Sufiyan Muqeem, the 25-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner, has retained his place in the ODI squad.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will spearhead the pace bowling attack. Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Muhammad Irfan Khan are the other fast bowling options in the squad.
Captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafique, Saim Ayub, Kamran Ghulam and Salman Ali Agha will play a key role in the batting department.
