Following a whitewash by the England cricket team in the T20I series against host South Africa, the two teams will lock horns next in a three-match ODI series, starting December 4, at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.

The second ODI will be played on December 6, at Boland Park, Paarl, while the teams will return to Newlands for the third and final ODI on December 8. Watch England vs South Africa ODI live.

England were utterly dominant in the shortest format as they hardly broke a sweat to defeat the South African cricket team. They won the first T20I by five wickets, followed by a four-wicket victory in the second before clinching the series with a whopping nine-wicket win in the final game of the series.

The South Africa vs England ODI series gives the hosts a perfect opportunity of possible redemption. The Proteas were disappointing in the T20Is, but are coming on the back of a convincing ODI series win over Australia in February earlier this year. The England cricket team, on their part, lost their previous fifty-overs series against Australia in September 2020.

Note that the three games in the series will be a part of the ICC World Cup Super League.
