Right ankle injury prevents Yashasvi Jaiswal to play in the Ranji Trophy semi-finals

Indian opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is ruled out for the Ranji Trophy semi-finals in Nagpur. The right ankle injury was sustained last Saturday, February 15 as he was training for the semi-finals.
Mumbai’s preparation against Vidarbha for the February 16 match will include some changes but the team has not named a replacement for the injured batter yet.
Jaiswal recently debuted in his first ODI during their game against England in Nagpur. He scored 15 runs in the same match.
On January 23, Jaiswal also played in the Ranji Trophy match of Mumbai against Jammu and Kashmir. The batter made 26 runs out of 51 balls in the second innings but despite efforts, the team lost the game. Jammu and Kashmir won by 5 wickets.
Mumbai remains strong as the team named Ajinkya Rahane, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Shardul Thakur as some of their top players who can keep the game balanced.
