Team Rajasthan skipper Ajinkya Rahane, on Sunday, was fined Rs. 12 lakhs for slow overrate in their Indian T20 League game against Team Chennai MA Chidambaram in Chennai.

"As it was his team's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Rahane was fined Rs 12 lakh," the IPL said in a statement.
Rajasthan, after opting to bowl, were able to complete the first innings only at 21:58 local time after starting at 20:00. Chennai managed to squeeze in a tight win — by eight runs — after the Jaipur-based side fell short in Chase of 175.
