The fifth match of the ECS T10 Bulgaria 2021 will see BSCU-MU Plovdiv (PLO) taking on Medical University Sofia (MUS) at the Vassil Levski National Sports Academy, Sofia, on Tuesday, July 6.
After winning the tournament under the name MU Dons (MUD), Plovdiv will look to build on their form from last season’s knockouts. On the other hand, Medical University Sofia will seek improvement after they finished third in the group stages last season.

Skipper Saim Hussain will be the batsman to watch out for from the Plovdiv camp. Hussain had ended last season with 376 runs, which was the second-most scored in the tournament. His highest score was an unbeaten 102 and Hussain maintained a strike rate of over 204 throughout the tournament.
MUS found a hero in Kevin D'Souza in their very first match of the season against Indo-Bulgaria, with the middle-order batsman's 23-ball 64 propelling Medical University Sofia to a 2-run win. D'Souza will remain the best bet going into this fixture as well.
Top tip: Best bowlers
Adithya Patnam could be an effective option for Plovdiv with his spin bowling. With most other bowlers in the team being pacers, skipper Saim Hussain will want to use Patnam judiciously, to check runs and get breakthroughs.
Delrick Vinu emerged as the surprise wicket-taker for MUS against Indo-Bulgaria in the first match. When none of his fellow bowlers could take a wicket, Vinu took two and conceded 21 runs in two overs. This could be a good time to capitalize on his form.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-
Plovdiv's Sulaiman Ali will be the best all-rounder from both teams. He had ended last season with 300 runs, two half-centuries as well as five wickets to his name, and fantasy team owners will be hoping he can reproduce similar performances this season as well.
Without a doubt, Saim Hussain will remain the best wicket-keeping choice for this fixture. The in-form batsman’s top-order batting position ensures that he faces more balls to score runs from, apart from fetching points for his glovework behind the stumps.
