Defending champions BSCU-MU Plovdiv (PLO) take on the Barbarians (BAR) in the eliminator of ECS T10 Bulgaria 2021 at the Vassil Levski National Sports Academy, Sofia on Saturday, July 10.
Defending champions PLO have reached the eliminator after a relatively disappointing run. They were able to collect just seven points, featuring in three wins and four losses. PLO had inflicted a convincing 10-wicket win over BAR in the early stages of the tournament.
BAR on the other hand played eight matches in the group stage and registered just two wins along with five losses. Their run in the tournament has been marred with inconsistent performances but they will be eager to avenge their earlier defeat against PLO.

Junaid Farooq is the batting powerhouse for PLO. He hit a brilliant 7-ball 22 versus the Indo-Bulgarian CC and later scored a steady unbeaten 22-ball 24 against VTU-MU Pleven to set up a successful chase for his team. His hard-hitting capabilities would certainly excite fantasy gamers.
BAR opening batsman Vasil Hristov is a batsman to watch out for. He prefers to play aggressively, scores at a high strike rate and is in good touch at the moment. He scored a 19-ball 24 versus INB and fantasy team owners should keep a close watch on him.
Top tip: Best bowlers
Faizan Rehman was the pick of the bowlers for PLO in their last match versus PLE. He was the wrecker-in-chief having scalped four wickets for just 11 runs at an economy rate of 5.5.
Nikolay Nankov is a bowler in fine form for BAR. He is used to bowling economical spells and his best of 2/2 came against Medical University of Sofia in one of the finest bowling performances of the tournament. He is expected to be a top pick for fantasy teams.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Sulaiman Ali is the all-rounder to watch out for. The PLO players struck an unbeaten 32-ball 43 with four boundaries and two sixes against PLE besides also taking two wickets in an over to set up a fantastic win for his side. Fantasy lovers would relish a repeat of his heroics.
Saim Hussain is a brilliant pick in the wicket-keeper category. The PLO gloveman is an attacking player at the top of the order as well and is extremely good behind the stumps. He hammered an unbeaten 21-ball 67 to set up a 10-wicket win when these two sides last met.
