Brno Rangers (BRG) are set to take on cellar-dwellers Prague CC Rooks (PCR) in the 40th match of ECS T10 Prague 2021 on Thursday, May 13 at the Vinor Cricket Ground.
BRG are on a rampage, to put things mildly, as they are unbeaten so far, winning all their six games this season. PCR, however, have struggled for results and are one of two teams across both groups that are yet to win a match.

It is going to be the second meeting between the two teams this season. The last time these two met, BRG dominated PCR in every department. After batting first, they posted 83/6 and managed to successfully defend it courtesy Sandeep Tiwari’s brilliant bowling.
Judging by current form, one can put their money on a BRG win.

Top-Tip: Best Batsmen
PCR middle-order batsman Karthick Gopalakrishnan could be a trump card against BRG. It was Gopalakrishnan who troubled the Rangers’ bowlers the most in their last meeting, scoring 17 runs in the game. Expect him to do more of the same.
For BRG, opening batsman Ali Kashif deserves a place in the team. The 29-year-old has been consistently scoring runs this season and is averaging 53 points per game.

PCR’s Naveen Padmaraju may have picked just two wickets this season, but both of them have come against BRG. Not only that, he also managed to keep his economy under 6 back then. He is a gamble worth taking.
Like Padmaraju, BRG’s Sandeep Tiwari hasn’t picked many wickets but did manage to trouble PCR last time around, taking two wickets for just 11 runs. Tiwari has picked three wickets in his last two matches and he can be expected to add to his tally.
Top Tip: Best all-rounders and wicket-keeper
Picking PCR’s top-scorer Rohit Deshmoyni is a no-brainer. The 40-year-old has been in brilliant form both with the bat and the ball. He has scored 41 runs in his last two matches and has picked two wickets as well.
As far as the wicket-keeper is concerned, Jan Hoffmann is the easiest choice given that he is averaging almost 25 points per game. His ability to score crucial runs is an added benefit.
