Panthers will lock horns with Markhors in the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 final at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Sunday, September 29.

Led by Shadab Khan, Panthers qualified for the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 final after they defeated Markhors by seven wickets in the Qualifier on Tuesday.
Electing to bat first, the Mohammad Rizwan-led Markhors were bowled out for 137 in 36 overs against Panthers in the Qualifier.
Salman Agha top-scored for Markhors with 52 while Iftikhar Ahmed added 39. For Panthers, all-rounder Saim Ayub was the wrecker-in-chief with 5/24. Mohammad Hasnain also picked up three wickets for Panthers.
In reply, Usman Khan’s unbeaten 54 off just 26 balls and Umar Siddiq’s 35 helped Panthers chase down the target in 23.4 overs to register a seven-wicket win and book their place in the inaugural Champions One-Day Cup.
Earlier, Panthers finished second in the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 standings with 34 points from four matches to advance to the playoffs.
On the other hand, Markhors were one of the most dominant teams in the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 league phase.
With three wins and one loss, Mohammad Rizwan’s Markhors finished on top of the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 standings with 38 points from four games.
While Markhors later lost to Panthers in Qualifier, they edged Lions in Eliminator 2 after the game was abandoned due to rain and qualified for the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 final by virtue of them finishing on top of the table.
