The Oman national cricket team will host Papua New Guinea (PNG) in a three-match T20 international series starting on Wednesday, March 6.
As per the Oman vs PNG T20Is 2024 schedule, all the three matches of the series will be played at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1).
Oman are currently placed 18th in the ICC Men’s T20I team rankings, while PNG are placed one place below in the 19th spot.
Oman and PNG head into the T20I series after a closely-fought unofficial one-day series.
Led by captain Zeeshan Maqsood, Oman beat PNG by four wickets in the first game while the visitors bounced back to register a four-wicket win as the two-match series ended 1-1.

Oman thrashed Papua New Guinea by 10 wickets in their only meeting during an ICC Men's T20 World Cup group clash in Al Amerat in October 2021.
Electing to field first, Zeeshan Maqsood’s four-wicket haul helped Oman restrict PNG to 129/9 in their 20 overs. In reply, fifties from Aqib Ilyas (50 not out) and Jatinder Singh (73 not out) helped Oman chase down the target in just 13.4 overs.
