Oman will meet Nepal in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 2023-27 at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground in King City, Canada on Tuesday, September 24.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2, which is in its second edition, provides teams with an opportunity to qualify for the ODI Cricket World Cup in 2027. All the games in the League are split into tri-series with each playing the other twice in every tri-series. A team will be part of a total of nine tri-series and will play 36 matches altogether.
Oman are coming into the contest after their 59-run loss to host Canada at the Maple Leaf Cricket Ground last week. Oman will look to put its campaign back on track after suffering three losses from its first six games.
Meanwhile, Nepal had also lost their last match against Canada by a five-wicket margin in King City. Nepal beat table-toppers Netherlands in their second match in February 2024 but could not replicate their performance losing their next five matches in a row.
Oman are currently in the sixth position in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 2023-27 points table with five points from six games whereas Nepal are in the seventh spot in the eight-team table with two points.
Nepal are ranked 16 in ICC’s latest ODI ranking list whereas Oman are two rungs below at 18.
Oman vs Nepal cricket head-to-head
The Oman vs Nepal head-to-head in ODIs are loaded in Oman’s favour with five wins compared to Nepal’s three. The two teams will face off for a second time in six days with Oman edging out Nepal by one wicket with only one ball to spare in a low-scoring thriller.
All-rounder Gulsan Jha was the star of the match scoring a quick-fire 50 and picking up five wickets though he could not take Nepal beyond the finishing line.
