India women (IN-W) take on New Zealand women (NZ-W) in their second league stage match of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2022 at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Thursday, March 10. The match will start at 6:30 AM IST.
NZ-W vs IN-W Dream11 prediction
New Zealand women started their world cup campaign with a defeat against West Indies women. The team, however, bounced back to winning ways in their subsequent game, beating Bangladesh women by nine wickets.
Unlike the White Ferns, the Indian women’s cricket team, led by Mithali Raj, made a brilliant start to their 2022 world cup journey, beating rivals Pakistan women by an impressive 107-run margin. Although the team has momentum, their past record against New Zealand hasn’t really been great.
In their recent tour of New Zealand in February 2022, India women suffered a 1-4 series defeat. Come Thursday, one can expect a similar outcome.
NZ-W vs IN-W Dream11 team tips for ICC Women’s World Cup 2022
Top tip: Best batter
With 129 fantasy points already to her name, NZ-W’s Amy Satterthwaite is an outright pick for the batting position in your fantasy team. The 35-year-old veteran scored 31 runs against West Indies women and although she didn’t get to bat against Bangladesh women, a return of 3/25 with the ball compensated for the missed opportunity.
Top tip: Best bowler
India women’s Rajeshwari Gayakwad was simply unplayable against Pakistan women. The right-arm bowler picked four wickets for 31 runs in her 10 overs and finished with a tally of 128 fantasy points. Given the form she is in, Gayakwad is a strong recommendation for this contest.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Sophie Devine scored 112 runs in the recently concluded series against India. The 32-year-old veteran has also been brilliant in the ongoing tournament as she has already accumulated 157 fantasy points while making it to the Dream Team in both matches.
For a wicket-keeper, our recommendation would be India’s Richa Ghosh simply because she bats higher up the order which basically means she has more chances of getting to bat compared to New Zealand’s Katey Martin.
NZ-W vs IN-W probable playing XI
NZ-W playing XI (probable): Sophie Devine (captain), Suzie Bates, Amelia Kerr, Amy Satterthwaite, Maddy Green, Frances Mackay, Katey Martin (wicket-keeper), Hayley Jensen, Lea Tahuhu, Jess Kerr, Hanna Rowe
IN-W playing XI (probable): Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Mithali Raj (captain), Harmanpreet Kaur, Richa Ghosh (wicket-keeper), Sneh Rana, Pooja Vastrakar, Jhulan Goswami, Meghna Singh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad
