New Zealand will host Netherlands in a historic one-off T20I at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Friday, March 25. The match will start at 11:40 AM IST.
The two sides will make history as they face each other for the first time in a T20 match on New Zealand soil. New Zealand and Netherlands have previously met only once in the T20 format in a 2014 World T20 clash in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the hosts will miss the services of 12 regular white-ball cricketers, including captain Kane Williamson who has been released for the upcoming edition of Indian T20 League starting March 26.
Tom Latham will lead the New Zealand side in the absence of Kane Williamson.
Meanwhile, Netherlands will be without Roelof van der Merwe, Shane Snater and Colin Ackermann as they will be busy with their county cricket commitments in England.
The Pieter Seelaar-led side will look to upset a depleted New Zealand team when they take the field on Friday.
