On the other hand, the New Zealand women's cricket team will aim to bounce back after going down 1-2 in a three-match ODI series in India in October.
Ranked fifth in the ICC women’s ODI team rankings, New Zealand Women are currently placed sixth in the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25 standings with 20 points.
Hosts India, Australia, England and South Africa have already qualified for the Women’s World Cup 2025.
New Zealand are competing with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and West Indies for the remaining two automatic qualification spots.
The hosts have announced their 13-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series.
Uncapped top order batter Bella James has been included in the White Ferns’ ODI squad.
Right-arm pacer Rosemary Mair has also made a comeback to the ODI squad for the first time since March 2022.
The Sophie Devine-led side will miss the services of opener Georgia Plimmer and fast bowler Lea Tahuhu due to their respective injuries.
