The Nepal Premier League 2024 will start on November 30 and run till December 21 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the Nepal Premier League 2024  is an upcoming franchise-based T20 cricket tournament.

As per the Nepal Premier League 2024 format, as many as eight teams will compete in a round-robin format with the top teams advancing to the NPL 2024 playoffs.

The Nepal Premier League 2024 will feature eight teams representing a major city across Nepal.

Biratnagar, Chitwan, Janakpur, Karnali, Kathmandu, Lumbini, Pokhara and Sudurpashim are the teams that will compete in the inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League.

All matches in the Nepal Premier League 2024 will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal.

Meanwhile, the Cricket Association of Nepal has announced the team owners for the inaugural NPL season.

Among the eight franchises, the biggest bid was for Pokhara at NRS 3 crore and 57 lakhs while Karnali secured the lowest bid at NRS 1 crore and 11 lakhs.

Ahead of the competition, the Nepal Premier League logo has been unveiled which reflects the spirit and heritage of Nepal. 

The NPL logo unites the famous khukuri with a cricket bat, representing the courage of the Gurkhas and the quintessence of Nepalese cricket. It also comprises elements inspired by Nepal’s national symbols: the sun and moon from the flag, symbolising the ambition to promote Nepal cricket across the globe, and the flowing rivers that echo the unity cricket brings to the nation. 

Influenced by Mount Everest, the NPL logo represents the upcoming Nepal Premier League’s ambition to scale new heights in world cricket.

The Nepal Premier League will aim to offer cricketers in Nepal great exposure and a platform to showcase their immense talent.
