The Big Bash League (BBL) 2023-24 began on December 7, 2023 and will conclude on January 24, 2024 in Australia.
Featuring eight teams, a total of 44 T20 matches will be played over seven weeks in the 13th edition of the Big Bash League.
Some of the world's leading T20 bowlers including the likes of Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Haris Rauf, Adam Zampa, Nathan Ellis and Chris Jordan are featuring in the ongoing edition of BBL.
Australia pacer Sean Abbott finished with the most wickets in the Big Bash League last season. Representing Sydney Sixers, the right-arm fast bowler picked up 29 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 14.03 and an economy of 7.44. Brisbane Heat bowling all-rounder Michael Neser was second on the list with 26 wickets in 17 matches last season.
Sean Abbott also holds the record for the most wickets in BBL history. Since making his debut in 2011, Abbott has scalped 155 wickets in 110 BBL matches so far.
Brisbane Heat duo of Xavier Bartlett, Mitchell Swepson and Sydney Sixers’ left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis are in contention to be the top wicket-takers in the ongoing Big Bash League.
The likes of Tanveer Sangha, Paul Walter, Will Sutherland, Matthew Kuhnemann and Michael Neser have also made a promising start to the season. Here’s a look at the players with most wickets in BBL 2023-24.
