The inaugural Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) started on March 6 and ended on March 15 in Thane, Maharashtra.
As many as six teams competed in a total of 18 tennis ball T10 cricket matches across 10 days in the first edition of the ISPL.
Bangalore Strikers, Chennai Singhams, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Majhi Mumbai, Srinagar Ke Veer and Tiigers of Kolkata were the teams that will battle for the ISPL 2024 title.
As per the ISPL 2024 schedule, each team played the other five sides once in a round-robin format. The top four teams in the standings after all the 15 league matches qualified for the semi-finals.
The winners of the two semi-finals squared off in the ISPL 2024 final on March 15.
All matches of the tennis ball cricket tournament were played at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Yogesh Penkar slammed the first fifty of ISPL 2024. Majhi Mumbai captain Yogesh Penkar led from the front as he smashed 61 runs off just 26 balls against Srinagar Ke Veer in the opening match of the tournament.
Penkar’s blitzkrieg knock was laced with four fours and five maximums. His knock helped Majhi Mumbai post 140/7 in their 10 overs. Majhi Mumbai later restricted Srinagar Ke Veer to 103/7 in their allotted overs to register a 37-run victory.
Sumeet Dhekale, Saroj Pramanik, Ketan Mhatre, Jagat Sarkar and Bhavesh Pawar were be some of the other talented batters to watch out for in the inaugural ISPL. Here’s a look at the players with most runs in ISPL 2024.
