The inaugural edition of the Mauritius Cric10 League will be held from December 2 to December 19, 2020, an official statement from the Mauritius Cricket Federation stated on Monday.
According to the statement, the tournament will be the biggest cricket league in Mauritius with more than 78 international cricketers featuring from across Australia, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Singapore and UAE.
Pravin Kumar, Pragyan Ojha, Ajantha Mendis, Dilhara Fernando, Suchitra Senanayake, Kevon Cooper, Ryan Emrit and Kennar Lewis will be among the iconic international cricketers who will participate in the inaugural Mauritius Cric10 League Cricket tournament.
Apart from the international stars, the league will also have twelve local talents participating.
There will be six teams competing in the 17-day long competition. They are Bambous Raptors, Rose Hill Warriors, Curepipe Crushers, Saint Pierre Quakers, Goodlands Riders and Mahebourg Storms. The teams are named after the iconic places in Mauritius.
As per the format of the competition, the matches will be played in 10-over format within 90 minutes. Located in Belle Vue Harel, Pamplemousses District, Mauritius, the Anjalay Stadium will host all the matches.
