The Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2022 final is scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday, August 26. The match will start at 7:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Bengaluru Blasters, Gulbarga Mystics, Mysore Warriors and Hubli Tigers are the four teams that have qualified for the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2022 knockouts, which is the revamped version of the Karnataka Premier League.
With seven victories and three defeats, Mayank Agarwal-led Bengaluru Blasters finished at the top of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 standings with 14 points from 10 matches, followed by Manish Pandey’s Gulbarga Mystics, who were second with 12 points from 10 matches.
Having finished in the top two, Bengaluru Blasters will square off against Gulbarga Mystics in Qualifier 1. The winner of the first qualifier will seal their place in Friday’s final while the loser will face the winner of the Eliminator clash between Mysore Warriors and Hubli Tigers in Qualifier 2.
The Warriors and the Tigers registered five wins and suffered as many losses, finishing third and fourth respectively. Mysore Warriors finished third in the standings due to a better net run-rate.
Mangalore United and Shivmogga Strikers were the two teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs. While Mangalore finished fifth, Shivmogga ended their campaign at the bottom of the standings.
Meanwhile, Mysore Warriors’ Pavan Deshpande has been the leading run-scorer in the ongoing T20 tournament, amassing 372 runs in 10 matches at an average of 46.50. Pavan Deshpande has only four runs more than second-placed Mayank Agarwal of the Bengaluru Blasters.
In the bowling department, Vidyadhar Patil of Mysore Warriors is currently the highest wicket-taker, having scalped 15 wickets in 10 matches, one wicket more than Bengaluru Blasters’ Jagadeesha Suchith.
