The Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) 2024 is all set to get underway on Saturday, June 15 and will continue till Sunday, June 23.

Organised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) with the backing of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), the inaugural edition of Madhya Pradesh League will feature five teams.

The five teams participating in this tournament are Gwalior Cheetahs, Bhopal Leopards, Jabalpur Lion, Rewa Jaguars, and Malwa Panthers.

All five teams have an icon player within their ranks to lead the team. Venkatesh Iyer is Gwalior Cheetahs’ icon player, while Bhopal Leopards have Mohammad Arshad Khan as their icon player.

Saransh Jain and Rajat Patidar are the icon players for Jabalpur Lion and Malwa Panthers respectively, whereas Kuldeep Sen is Rewa Jaguars’ icon player. 

All teams in this tournament will square off against each other once in a double round-robin format in the league stage.

The league stage toppers will then progress to the final directly, while the second and third-placed sides in the standings will face off in an eliminator for the other finalist spot in the MPL 2024 final.

A total of 12 matches will be played in MPL 2024 and all games in Madhya Pradesh League 2024 will be played at the MPCA International Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
