Leicestershire secures a 10-wicket win over Glamorgan

The strong partnership and impressive play from Glamorgan’s Kiran Carlson and Andy Gorvin were not enough to defeat Leicestershire’s superior performance. Despite Carlson’s century and Gorvin’s half-century, Leics still managed to seal a 10-wicket win.
Bowler Ian Holland secured four wickets for 46 runs on top of his previous three wickets in the first innings. Ben Green bowled tightly as well, returning the pressure to Glam.
Leics faced injury concerns ahead of their next match against Derbyshire, with Chris Wright limping off midway through an over after scoring 74 and Rishi Patel still sidelined due to a damaged thumb. However, this didn’t stop the team from continuing their striking performance.
As the third day started, Glam wanted to retake their momentum. Gorvin managed to take wickets from Cox and Wright in just 18 balls. With Leics just securing one run, Glam started to stand back up on its feet.
But this didn’t last long when Carlson got out. Gorvin remained standing, but Glam’s efforts were not enough to withstand the Foxes’ onslaught. They only needed 51 runs to win in their second innings, which Sol Budinger and Rehan Ahmed made quick work of.
