The Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024 began on September 20 and will run until October 16. This third edition of the tournament will feature six teams competing in a total of 25 T20 matches.
The six participating teams in LLC 2024 include Gujarat Greats, India Capitals, Konark Suryas Odisha, Manipal Tigers, Southern Super Stars and Toyam Hyderabad.
During the league phase of LLC, each team will play seven matches and the top four teams will move on to the playoffs.
In the playoff stage, the top two teams from the standings will face off in Qualifier 1 for a spot in the final. Meanwhile, the third and fourth-placed teams will compete in the Eliminator to stay in contention.
The winner of the Eliminator will then take on the loser of Qualifier 1 in a virtual semi-final for the second spot in the final. The championship match of LLC T20 2024 is scheduled for October 16.
All matches in the tournament will be hosted across four venues, namely Jodhpur’s Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Surat’s Lalabhai Contractor Stadium, Jammu’s Molana Azad Stadium and the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
Team captains for LLC 2024 include Shikhar Dhawan (Gujarat Greats), Suresh Raina (Toyam Hyderabad), Ian Bell (India Capitals), Irfan Pathan (Konark Suryas Odisha), Harbhajan Singh (Manipal Tigers) and Dinesh Karthik (Southern Super Stars).
Defending champions Manipal Tigers won the 2023 title after defeating Urbanrisers Hyderabad by five wickets, while India Capitals claimed victory in the inaugural 2022 edition of LLC.
