Jasprit Bumrah is clearly an aspirational figure.
His consistent wicket-taking skills have positioned him as one of the best fast bowlers of modern cricket. And if he can keep his performances regular, he is on his way to become one of the best pacers of all time.
It's little wonder then he finds plenty of fans emulating his unique bowling action, from young cricketers to - until very recently - a venerable elderly mother.
Posted by Shanta Sakkubai on Twitter, the GIF shows a lady holding a small football imitating Bumrah's short quick steps when he starts his run up and ending with a slinging straight arm idiosyncratic to his point of delivery - a unique action that has characterised the Indian fast bowler - in front of her television.
Just like the rest of us, the mothership was so impressed with Bumrah's performance in the world cup, that she decided to mimic his run-up. 😂😂😍 pic.twitter.com/bJYGUqzJvd

Earlier, even India captain Virat Kohli couldn't resist mimicking his lead pacer's bowling action, executing it ahead of the World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand, complete with celebrations as well.

Bumrah's bowling action enveloped social media when earlier this year, a father in Australia posted a video of his son inspired by Bumrah's bowling action during the Border–Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia.
@bhogleharsha @Jaspritbumrah93 The only problem from your great series win may be the next generation of Aussie cricketers you have inspired! 👏💪👊 pic.twitter.com/dmZNClOcBx

"The kid is so cute," replied Bumrah. "Give him my best wishes"
Earlier in March, Cricket Hong Kong posted a video of an Under-13 player with a similar action at the point of delivery.
Spotted in the U-13s League today - another interesting bowling action. Does this remind you of somebody? 🤔@Jaspritbumrah93 @BCCI @ICCMediaComms @ICC #Cricket #HKCricket pic.twitter.com/A8OOfmtfPG

Bumrah, with his performances and bowling action, is not only inspiring the next generation of cricketers but an entire demographic, as the latest video showed.
