The Ireland Women vs England Women T20I series 2024 will start in Dublin on September 14.

The two-match T20I series between Ireland Women and England Women is scheduled to start on Saturday at 07:30 PM IST. Live streaming for the series will be available in India. 

The second match is slated to happen on Sunday, September 15 and both matches will be played at Castle Avenue in Dublin.

England have named a second-string side for the T20I series in Ireland, resting all the players who have been named for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. As in the ODIs, Kate Cross will lead the England Women for the first time in T20Is. 

England Women come into the T20I leg after winning the three-match ODI series against Ireland Women 2-1. This T20I series will provide an opportunity for young prospects to stake a claim in the senior setup.

Meanwhile, Ireland Women are hosting England Women after a successful white-ball series at home against Sri Lanka Women. The Irish drew the two-match T20I series 1-1 before going on to win the ODI series 2-1 against Sri Lanka Women.

Earlier in May 2024, Ireland Women were unlucky not to qualify for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 as they lost to Scotland Women in the semi-finals of the qualifier. 

Both Scotland Women and Sri Lanka Women made it to the showpiece event by being the finalists in the qualifier campaign

Currently, England Women are ranked second in the ICC WT20I rankings whereas Ireland Women are in 10th place.

Ireland Women and England Women have met each other in two T20Is with England winning both matches. The two sides last played against each other in a T20I during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which England women won by four wickets.
