The 10th edition of Cricket Ireland’s Inter-Provincial Limited Over Cup will start on Tuesday, May 3 and run till Monday, July 4.
Since the inception of the tournament in 2013, it has been played between four leading cricketing provinces of Ireland. The International Cricket Council (ICC) awarded List A status to the tournament after the 2016 season.
The four teams participating in Cricket Ireland’s Inter-Provincial Limited Over Cup 2022 are Leinster Lightning, North West Warriors, Northern Knights and the Munster Reds.
As per the format of the tournament, each team will play a total of six matches in a double round-robin format.
Defending champions Leinster Lightning are also the most successful team in the Inter-Provincial Limited Over Cup, having won the title eight times.
Apart from Leinster Lightning, Northern Knight won the title in the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2013.
