Hyderabad beat Bangalore by 4 runs to register an emphatic win in match 52 of the Indian T20 League at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Chasing a target of 142, Bangalore were dealt with an early blow as skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed off the very first over. Glenn Maxwell 40 (25) and Devdutt Padikkal 41 (52) tried to anchor the chase but the latter struggled to get going on a wicket that was slow-paced.
It all boiled down to the last over where Bhuvneshwar Kumar successfully defended 13 off the final over to set up a much-needed victory for Hyderabad.
