India will lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan in their ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 opener at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, November 30.

The India vs Pakistan, ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 match will start at 10:30 AM IST. Live streaming and telecast of the match will be available in India.

Organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 will see as many as eight teams compete in a total of 15 ODIs in the 11th edition of the tournament.

These eight participating teams include five full members of the Asian Cricket Council -  Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka while the likes of Japan, Nepal and United Arab Emirates advanced from the qualifiers round.

As per the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 format, these teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each.

India and Pakistan are placed in Group A alongside hosts United Arab Emirates and Japan. Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are clubbed in Group B.

Each team will play the other three sides once in their group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals after the group stage fixtures. 

The winners of the two semi-finals will clash in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 final on December 8.

All ACC U19 Asia Cup matches will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Uttar Pradesh middle-order batter Mohammad Amaan has been named the captain of the India U19 squad while batting all-rounder Kiran Chormale will be his deputy.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who became the youngest player to be sold in the Indian T20 League auction history, has been included in the India U-19 squad. Ayush Mhatre, Andre Siddarth, Harvansh Singh Pangalia and Md. Enaan are some of the other Indian youngsters to watch out for in the 50-over tournament.

On the other hand, Saad Baig will once again lead Pakistan in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024. Wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig was also the captain of Pakistan in the 2023 edition. Apart from captain Baig, the likes of Mohammad Riazullah, Shahzaib Khan and Tayyab Arif also featured in the previous edition of the tournament.

India are the most successful team in the ACC U19 Asia Cup history with eight titles while Pakistan have clinched it once in 2012.

Bangladesh are the defending champions of the ACC U19 Asia Cup after they defeated United Arab Emirates in the 2023 final to bag their maiden title.
