The India vs Bangladesh T20 2024 series will start in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, October 6.

As per the India vs Bangladesh T20 2024 schedule, the first game of the three-match series will be played at the new Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.

The two teams will later travel to Delhi for the second T20I to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 9.

The third and final T20I of the three-match series is scheduled to take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 12.

India are currently the number one side in the ICC men’s T20I team rankings while Bangladesh are placed ninth in the rankings.

Ahead of the series, the Indian cricket team has announced their 15-member squad to be led by Suryakumar Yadav.

Pacer Mayank Yadav, who impressed for Team Lucknow in the Indian T20 League 2024, has received his maiden India call-up.

All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and young fast bowler Harshit Rana are the other uncapped players included in the squad.

Mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy and wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma have also made a comeback in India’s T20I squad for the upcoming three-match series.

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh will lead the pace bowling attack.

Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube are the other fast bowling all-rounders added in the squad.

In the spin bowling department, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, all-rounders Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma could play a key role.

India last featured in a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, which they won 3-0 in Pallekele in July.

On the other hand, the Bangladesh cricket team will aim to bounce back after succumbing to a 0-2 series defeat in the recently-concluded two-match Test series against India in the ongoing World Test Championship.

The visitors will be led by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto in the forthcoming T20I series.

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has returned to Bangladesh's T20I squad after 14 months.

Apart from Mehidy Hasan Miraz, opening batter Parvez Hossain Emon and left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan have been recalled to the T20I squad.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will miss the services of their star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has retired from T20 international cricket.

The likes of left-handed batter Soumya Sarkar and left-arm spinner Tanvir Ahmed, who were part of Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad, have been dropped for the T20I series in India.

The last time these two sides met, India defeated Bangladesh by 50 runs in an  

ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight clash at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua and Barbuda in June.
